The Street of Dreams is a yearly custom home show where a few chosen builders can showcase one of their custom homes. In 2001, Whitmire Homes was given the honor to participate in the Street of Dreams at the Harbor Pointe community in Gainesville.

Whitmire Homes built a custom home that was fully furnished and decorated by Angela Cain from Nouveaute. For about eight weeks the community was able to tour all of the Street of Dreams homes and then vote for their favorite home in four different categories. The Whitmire Home was awarded three of the four people’s choice awards including Best Interior Design, Best Floor Plan, and Best Overall Home.
